To be honest, joining a challenge is the only way I can get gobs of writing done. Otherwise, I fall back on doing a couple of pages here and there.

I’ve found with each challenge I do, my typing per minute increases. Last year at this time I could write 4 pages in an hour, and now I can do about 6 in an hour, lol.

Not as much as I should.

I did find Amanda through Sven. I am also part of an online group that are doing SocNoc but I didn’t jump in a quick as some so I feel a little on the outside.

Hm…
Do you have some kind of support network with your writing?
A group, someone to kick you up the rear when you slack, provide feedback when you’re stuck?
I find it helps.

I keep signing up for challenges then fail, miserably. The worst for me was last fall when I tried to do both Sweating with Sven and NaNoWriMo at the same time. I got about a day into that madness when writer’s block hit and I didn’t write another word for a month.

I signed up for SocNoc, and I’ve written about 4000 words for that one.

Silly thing is, I keep signing up for these things knowing full well I won’t produce a decent word count.
