I agree with Silke. I don't have kids, but I manage to derail myself just fine on my own. When my world crashes I rarely write. How bad the crash will effect how I react. I either curl up with books and movies or I nest. The harder the crash the more I nest. I quilt more, I start cross-stitch projects I know I'll never finish, or if it's really bad I start knitting. I’m definitely in the “I don’t know” group.

Great post Amanda. I don't have kids, so no clue what that's like, but I work. And that sometimes puts a serious dent in the muse's ability to get me motivated. I can write even when the world is crashing down around me, but I'd rather not have it crash in the first place! I’m definitely a “Don’t know if I ever…” person.
