Word of the Day…

Eviscerate.

e·vis·cer·ate
–verb (used with object)

1. to remove the entrails from; disembowel: to eviscerate a chicken.
2. to deprive of vital or essential parts: The censors eviscerated the book to make it inoffensive to the leaders of the party.
3. Surgery. to remove the contents of (a body organ).

I love that word. It’s so… visual. I can almost see the gore. It’s being mutilated (another great word!) a lot, used in the wrong context, but it’s a great word.
Writing paranormal romance, I end up looking up a lot of icky stuff and I probably know way too much about dead bodies. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t carve the turkey… I Y-section it. The bodycount in my stories tends to be uh… LOTR has nothing on me in terms of bodycount. (It stands at around 800 for Return of the King). Okay, I’m not quite that bloodthirsty, but there are times when my heroes slice and dice their way into a dungeon. Or lair. Or something.

And yeah, they eviscerate their enemies at times.

Hey.

Whatever works!

New blog

I think the blog looks great. I’m wondering if we should post a link to our yahoo group in case we get some search engine traffic from this that might direct people to our yahoo group?

Also, Silke do you know if you’re able to update the meta data on the backend of the HTML here? If so, we could add keywords, description and title tags to our blog to get the search engines to come by for those people who search our particular keywords. Can you tell I’m in online marketing? LOL Let me know and I can come up with the meta data tags.
